About

Global Goals Quest is an app-based team game built around the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the shared framework for a better future. It suits sustainability initiatives and ESG-focused events, and can be played in person, remotely or in a hybrid format across several offices.

Following a short briefing on the goals, each team receives a tablet and the game begins.

Teams climb through levels by completing challenges, each linked to a goal such as No Poverty, Zero Hunger or Climate Action. There are knowledge questions, puzzles, photo tasks and active challenges at several levels of difficulty.

The app guides every step as teams submit answers, earn points and climb the leaderboard, learning along the way what each goal means and how everyday choices can make a difference.

Learning outcomes

Teams must understand the game together and agree a flexible strategy. They soon find that innovative thinking and clear communication help them progress more quickly, and choosing which level to tackle next keeps every team talking.

Listening well and speaking up with ideas are both essential, especially when time is short. Because every challenge is linked to a real goal, the game prompts conversations about sustainability that continue long afterwards.

Trust grows as teammates recognise one another's strengths and work towards a larger shared purpose: making the world a better place.

The game is enjoyable and leaves people with a genuine sense of togetherness. Most importantly, participants leave knowing more about the global goals and how small changes in their own habits can add up.
