On Air Broadcast Crew

About

On Air Broadcast Crew is a practical, confidence-building route into AI for your whole organisation. Teams produce their own news broadcast, and every colleague uses AI tools to deliver their part.

The programme opens with a concise introduction to AI and focused video training on a selection of tools, ensuring everyone begins from the same starting point.

Teams then become independent newsrooms. Each member takes on a specialist role, such as scriptwriter, researcher, image or video creator, voice artist, editor or producer, supported by AI tools suited to that role. Working from a brief, a template and a realistic scenario, each crew produces a news segment and presents it to the room.

Where time allows, crews share which tools worked well and what proved difficult, and the session closes with a debrief on key lessons and how to keep developing AI skills at work.

Learning outcomes

Applying AI to a real deliverable makes the skills stick. Because every specialist's work must come together in one broadcast, collaboration and creativity develop naturally, and colleagues gain respect for roles they rarely think about.

Open conversation throughout the programme helps ease common concerns about AI in the workplace and encourages a culture of continuous learning.

The programme makes a clear point: AI exists to support people, not replace them. It frees colleagues to focus on more strategic and creative work, and participants begin to spot where it could improve their own workflows.

Where helpful, the debrief can also open a discussion about the responsible use of AI and how your organisation intends to approach it, so that everyone feels informed and respected. It is a practical first step in any AI adoption plan.
