Grand Prix Garage
Build the car, design the livery and race for a place on the podium.

About
Grand Prix Garage turns each team into a racing outfit with its own garage. The task is to build an almost full-size racing car from a self-assembly kit within a tight timeframe.
With the car complete, teams turn to styling, decorating it with colours, mock sponsor logos and team branding so that it stands out on the track. Some teams prioritise speed, others style, and the best achieve both.
Then race day arrives. Cars line up on the grid, the chequered flag waves and they are away, each with one driver at the wheel while teammates push it down the track.
Swift pit stops can decide the result, so teams practise their routine before the main race. A podium ceremony celebrates the top three teams in style.
Learning outcomes
Teams must allocate roles carefully and work closely across different skills so the build stays on plan and on time. Clear roles stop people getting in each other's way as the car takes shape. Short check-ins keep everyone aligned.
It is a demanding project that requires commitment from every team member. Teams that plan their steps before building usually finish with time to spare.
Styling the car lets everyone show their creative side and leave their mark on the final design.
Because the race can be won or lost in the pits, teams practise and refine their process, learning how small improvements add up. The race fuels friendly competition, and the podium gives everyone something to celebrate. The finished cars also make for excellent team photographs.
