Online Song Circle
Sing together from anywhere and receive a professionally mixed team song.
About
Online Song Circle brings remote and hybrid teams together through the simple pleasure of singing. It works for a small team, a whole department or an entire organisation, and runs on your usual video conferencing platform with nothing more than a laptop and a phone.
The session is cleverly designed around the time delays that normally make singing together online impossible.
Everyone stays on mute while a professional vocal coach leads the warm-up and teaches the song. Each person then records their own part on their phone, which also removes any pressure for those who feel nervous about singing.
After the session, a professional producer mixes every voice into a single finished track, and everyone receives the final song. It can even be combined with images from the call to create a lasting keepsake for the team.
Learning outcomes
Team bonding matters just as much for distributed teams, even when meeting in person is not an option. Online Song Circle offers a fresh way to connect people wherever they work, across offices and time zones.
The session encourages participants to go beyond what they believe they can do and to celebrate a shared achievement across distance. Recording privately removes the pressure, so everyone can join in at their own comfort level.
Guided by a professional coach in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere, even the most reserved team members are often surprised by what they achieve in a short time.
Playing the finished track at the start or end of a future meeting is a powerful display of unity and a reminder that distance need not stop a team from creating something together.
