Chain Reaction Table Top
In this fun team-building activity, teams work together to make fun tabletop contraptions inspired by the one and only Rube Goldberg. The idea is to build machines that are so complicated that they can only do simple tasks.

This activity is a funny, interesting challenge that is meant to bring out creativity and help people work well as a team. Making things much more complicated than they need to be is a great way to show that simple is usually better.
A bit of history about what made Chain Reaction possible: Rube Goldberg was a cartoonist, sculptor, author, engineer, and inventor who won the Pulitzer Prize. He found a way to put all of his skills together into one genius-level superpower. Goldberg would come up with and draw a bunch of strange, complicated machines that did very simple things.
Once your group is split up into smaller groups, they will design and build their own “simple” machines in a friendly way. Each team makes a number of simple machines and puts them to the test. But in the end, all of their separate ideas have to work together as parts of a bigger whole. Since the mission is hard, teams need to work together to come up with a plan for making their crazy ideas come to life. Working together has never been so much fun.
